Our AngelOur Angel is no drag queen  nor had he visible wings.  With love of life and others,  he dreamt of many things.   
Our Angel did depart  we thought long before his due.  But I shall state it plainly,  an Angel-very true.   
Our Angel's heart was weary   with life weighing him down,  perhaps I never thought  that he would never be around.   
Our angel was such a light  and lived with such zest  
Perhaps I will find relief  
that now he is at rest.

I am stuck in a blackhole,
I am stuck in a whirlpool,
I am stuck in a paradox,
from which there is no escape.
I want to let go of the past;
I continue to live in the past.
I want to be in the future;
yet I avoid it like the plague.
My past guides my view of the future;
when will I ever be free from these chains?
Am I a willing captive to my memories?
I am held captive by my fears,
the same fears which have been shaped by my memories of the past.
This cycle is unending then;
as long as one continues to feed off the other,
I will continue to be stuck.
I just hope this infinite cycle will not lead me
to make this a self-fulfilling prophesy.
